Joel Starr became the Assistant Principal at Selah High School in 2022. He spent the previous years as Principal at Selah Intermediate School and Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Selah Middle School.
Mr. Starr’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. He also holds a Master’s Degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Instructional Leadership with Principal Certification. He previously worked in the Puyallup School District, teaching at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels.Mr. Starr and his family moved to Selah from Puyallup, WA, in 2016. His family loves the outdoors and going on adventures. Mr. Starr grew up in West Valley (Yakima) and is excited to return to the Yakima Valley.
